Showcasing CADTH's Work in Self-Monitoring of Blood Glucose
Throughout 2010-2011, CADTH hosted 12 Café Scientifique events across Canada, presenting evidence and expert opinion to more than 600 patients, care providers, and decision-makers about self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG). This initiative aimed to “change the diabetes management story” and initiate thoughtful reflection and peer-to-peer discussion about the role of SMBG in overall diabetes management.
Showcasing this novel approach to knowledge translation, the Café Scientifique Casebook is now available. It highlights the methodology and impact of these events in generating dialogue and debate about SMBG at the grassroots level across the nation.
